About us
Eva Bende was born in Hungary into a family with a strong creative vein. From an early age, Eva nurtured her passion inherited from her seamstress aunt, and in 1997 she obtained a bachelor's and master's degree in design and textile art at the MOME University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Budapest.
During her studies, Eva won numerous national competitions with her creations, also obtaining the opportunity to model together with Hanae Mori, a renowned Japanese high fashion designer.
Eva continued her artistic career in Sweden, where she was responsible for an artistic structure specialized in hand printing on fabric. Thanks to her vibrant and highly feminine design, Eva soon became a favorite subject of Scandinavian newspapers, who called her a "hummingbird among the sparrows".
This nickname comes from her love of bright colors and natural shapes, combined with unusual fabrics. In 2003, Eva also launched her own line of clothing and artistic creations called "ACANTHUS by Eva Bende".
This exclusive line was designed and conceived in her studio in Ticino, Switzerland, where she now lives, and has earned a great reputation in the industry.
